Jason Thielke

Jason Thielke

Jason Thielke graduated from Northern Illinois University with a B.F.A. in 2000

He primarily works with graphite and color pencil. He is influenced by the style of Gustave Klimt. The drawn shapes create a textural volume to the figures. Marks are applied with haste to elicit emotions juxtaposing soft feature with hard angular lines. He is increasingly working with positive and negative space to create the ideal composition.
